BATCH DRYERS V/S CONTINUOUS DRYERS

Upgrading from the ancient era and engaging with advanced technologies there are different drying machineries available in the market which leaves out traditional drying far away. In today's date majority of the people prefer buying an industrial dryer to dry the commodities which are plucked up after the harvesting process.

Now with the advanced technology comes various types and options for the dryers. The two major dryers which are used worldwide are batch dryers and continuous dryers. These dryers have solved various problems relating to the dryer and moisture element. But first we need to know the actual meaning of the dryers and what they can do.

In batch dryers, feed materials are transferred through a perforated belt. Heated air is passed through or over the belt and product bed, before being reheated and recirculated. In most cases, units are multi-zoned and their airflows may differ between zones.

Continuous dryers use hot air to dry products in variable depth products beds. The Swivel Valve discharger makes sure that dried products are discharged smoothly to the next drying deck or to the hopper as they are continuously fed into the dryer through the inlet valve.

Commonly people get confused while purchasing the dryer for their unit. A proper guidance is needed for the people to think pivotal. Here are some points of difference to be kept in mind while dealing.

Batch dryers are generally time consuming and require a lot of effort in comparison to continuous dryers. So firstly you need to figure out what category your industry comes into, if the industry is a small scale industry then the batch dryers are highly recommendable as they are cost effective to the  continuous dryers. A large or medium scale industry would usually require a bulk and continuous dryer to achieve the growth prospects and meet the deadlines for the drying. Though they are not cheap like batch dryers but would give you external benefits in the future.

Secondly you need to know if the commodity or product you are dealing in requires supervision or not. If the product requires more supervision than you need to go ahead with the batch type dryers cause a constant care will only generate better quality outcome whereas if the product is sufficient enough to undergo drying process knowing that the drying won't affect the quality than you can switch it up to continuous dryers as they will save you a lot of time and will lead you to increased production in some years.

Well it wholly depends on the scale of industry you work in and the product you want to get dried in. Both the dryers have potentials in their own terms and will give you optimum output. So you need to clearly analyze which dryer would best suit your industry and obtain those.
